The Energy Training Foundation (EnTF) and the Southern African Energy Efficiency Confederation (SAEEC) hosts the Annual Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certification Ceremony where professionals in the energy engineering, energy management, and renewable energy fields are acknowledged for achieving the successful completion and Certification application processing of:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM®)
  • Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP®)
  • Certified Energy Auditor (CEA®)
  • Certified Renewable Energy Professional (REP®)
  • Certified Water Efficiency Professional (CWEP®)
  • Certified Carbon Reducation Manager and GHG (CRM®)
  • Certified Business Energy Professional (BEP®)

The Certification Ceremony is held as part of the annual Southern African Energy Efficiency Convention, the flagship event of the SAEE. Top Students in each of the AEE disciplines are also recognised by the SAEEC at the Certification Ceremony.

AEE Certification Programs are recognised in 105 countries as the leading standard of training and certification in energy management, measurement and verification, energy auditing and renewable energy competence. Confidence is maintained internationally due to the continuous education program that is required to maintain professional certification status. Granting of certification is also not based on passing the course examination alone, specific educational and/or experiential criteria are a compulsory requirement.

The EnTF is proud to have been instrumental in developing highly acclaimed skills in energy engineering required to meet the needs of the South African government, industry and authorities. Almost 1,000 Southern African professionals have received certification and form part of an international professional body of over 16,000, of which over 32,000 certifications are active.

CEM®, CEA®, CMVP®, CWEP®, BEP®, CRM® and REP® professionals that have earned Certification credentials, are distinguished in their field, and demonstrate high levels of experience, competence and specialised knowledge.
